Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pickup from Kigali – Transfer to Mgahinga to start gorilla trekking
Pick up from Kigali airport or your hotel in Kigali at 9:00am and transfer to Uganda via Cyanika border in Kisoro town. The drive time is roughly 4hours   through the rolling hills and green sceneries of Kisoro district.Reach Mgahinga Park at 7:00am to join a pre gorilla trekking briefing at Ntebeko information center. You will then embark on a hike to meet Nyakagyezi gorilla family, the only gorilla group in Mgahinga gorilla national park. Spend an hour with gorillas, embrace their human like characters, and have fun with your lost cousins.  Dinner and overnight at Mount Gahinga Lodge/ Travellers Rest Hotel/ Amajambere Iwacu Community

Day 2: Golden Monkey Trekking & transfer to Kigali
In the early morning, have a cup of coffee and transfer to Ntebeko information center for registration and briefing about the rules and regulations of golden monkey trekking.  Join other travelers and embark on a hike to meet the endangered golden monkeys. Unlike gorillas, golden monkeys live in low altitude areas hence easy to find. Spend an hour in their company, enjoy their playful traits, take photos and have fun.  Return to the lodge for refreshment and later drive back to Kigali for your return flight.
