Day 1: Drive from Kigali to Akagera National Park

Later, you will start your road trip to the eastern province of Rwanda to Akagera National Park with a stopover at Nyakarambi Village to view the way Imigongo Cow Dung paintings were made by the Kakira Women Co-operative.  After, you will have lunch then continue to Akagera National Park and in the evening, you have game viewing experience with possibility to see giraffes, leopards, warthogs, antelopes, birds, lions, leopards to mention but a few.

After the morning breakfast, you will meet the driver guide and embark on game drive in a luxurious 4×4 safari vehicle with an experienced guide. Drive via the Northern area of Akagera National Park for you to have enjoyable views of the complete list of African big game-African elephants, buffaloes, lions, rhinos, buffaloes, leopards; Rothschild giraffes, zebras, birds, antelopes. It will take you 2 to 3 hours and later, you drive back to have lunch.  In the afternoon, you have a boat ride/launch trip on the scenic Lake Ihema which comes with possibility of catching a glimpse at hippos, basking crocodiles, water birds and many others.
