Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Arrive at Kigali Airport early enough and meet the company representative who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park which is set in northwestern Rwanda about 2-3 hours’ drive. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of scenic surrounding areas and stunning rolling hills. Arrive at Volcanoes National Park to check in at your preferred lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Wake up early in the morning to prepare and enjoy breakfast then later, gather at Kinigi park offices for briefing on the set rules and regulations for gorilla trekking. You will be assigned to one gorilla group to trek in a group of 8 people. After, you will embark on actual trek with park ranger guide and also be joined by tracker. This will take you 2-6 hours and once you find these creatures, you have only one hour to explore their behaviors, take photos. After, you will return to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Kivu
