Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Bwindi by car

Today in the morning, get up early to enjoy a hefty breakfast and later, meet your experienced driver guide for briefing. Early enough exit your hotel premises in Kampala for 9-10 hours’ drive to Bwindi National Park along the Kampala-Mbarara-Kabale route.

En-route, key areas of interest include the Equator crossing at Kayabwe and Igongo Cultural Centre for a delicious lunch break. Continue with a scenic drive to the Southwestern side of Uganda while getting remarkable treat to the breathtaking views of Kigezi highlands. Upon arrival at Bwindi, check in at the safari lodges pre-booked for you.

Day 2: Rushaga Gorilla trekking expedition

After a delicious breakfast, report to Rushaga area for briefing about gorilla trekking rules and regulations. Your day entirely involves an immersion into the scenic rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in search of habituated gorilla family. It will take you about 2-6 hours to have a complete search for gorillas inclusive of an hour for up close and personal with these apes in their natural habitat.

The 1 hour includes observing a family of mountain gorillas, having an in depth exploration about their daily behaviors and above all return with plenty of photos taken for memories. You will then be accompanied back to the briefing area, get a gorilla trekking certificate and later connect up to your safari lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: Golden monkey tracking & cultural experience

Early in the morning, join other primate enthusiasts at Ntebeko area for briefing and today, you will have insight into the guidelines for golden monkey tracking. Trekking through the jungles of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a great opportunity to get up close with the gorgeous golden monkeys in their natural habitat.

Today, you will have 2-4 hours searching for these primates but includes an hour of taking photos, observing how these primates behave, and more. In the afternoon, get back to the lodge and you will have great time at the lodge. After having a relaxed moment, you will embark on a cultural visit in the nearby Batwa community.

Day 4: Fly to Entebbe, connect to Maasai Mara

A delicious breakfast will be followed by pick up and transfer to Kisoro airstrip in Southwestern Uganda. You will have the morning flight back to Entebbe Airport (EBB). From Entebbe, catch up with the connecting flight to Nairobi city. Upon arrival, your Kenya driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to a comfortable hotel for relaxation.

Day 5: Nairobi- Mara Reserve

Today in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast and after, check out of the hotel facility in Nairobi city. After, meet your driver guide for ready to connect to your premier destination in Kenya that is Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will have 6 hours of driving from Nairobi city, have lunch at the pre-booked lodge and later in the afternoon, embark on a guided game drive.

Day 6: Full day exploring Maasai Mara

Following an early morning breakfast, a guided game drive through the savanna plains of Maasai Mara National Reserve. With an experienced guide, expect to look out for early risers, the big five game, large herds of antelope families, birds and above all, get mesmerized with the wildebeest migration experience. Today’s long day game viewing expedition includes lunch in the bush and you return only in the evening to have a relaxed moment at the lodge.

Day 7: Full day with Masai Mara wildlife

Leave your safari lodge for an early morning briefing before setting off for balloon excursion. Today, expect more than wildlife encounters and your experience includes bush breakfast. Enjoy aerial view of diverse wildlife, take photos and later, get back, then join the normal game drive or return straight to the loge relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, you will be accompanied for another session of game drive. If time permits, continue to the Maasai Warriors’ community for a cultural experience.

Day 8: Mara Reserve to Serengeti

Begin your morning with a delicious breakfast and afternoon, meet your driver guide ready to transfer to your next destination –Serengeti National Park. Today’s journey includes driving on road through Isebania border. At Serengeti, you will be transferred to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 9: Game viewing

Today begins the long wildlife excursion in Serengeti NP. You will enjoy a picnic lunch and then continue with a game viewing and later connect to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 11: Full day game drive
