Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park

After an early morning breakfast from your respective hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, you will meet our driver guide who will warmly welcome you and give briefing on what your 3 days Mgahinga gorilla safari is all about. You will then drive via Kampala-Masaka-Mbarara route and along the way; you will make a stopover Mpambire drum makers and Equator for photography. In Mbarara, you will stopover at Igongo Cultural Center for lunch and then proceed to Mgahinga National Park. Your journey to Mgahinga National Park covers 540kms that is 8-10 hours’ drive. Arrive early enough to check at a lodge of your choice for rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Mgahinga National Park

Enjoy your delicious breakfast at your respective safari lodge and after, you will gather at Ntebeko Visitor Center for briefing on the set guidelines for gorilla trekking. Given the nature of this adventure you are advised to come with bottled water, energy giving snacks. Nyakagezi is the only gorilla group that will be assigned to you to track in a group of 8 visitors since it is the only habituated family set for tourism in Mgahinga National Park. Your adventure will take about 2-6 hours depending on your speed of hiking, nature of habitat and location of mountain gorillas. You have only an hour of magical encounter with these great apes once you find them with a chance to take as many photos as possible, explore their behaviors and body gestures.  After, you will get back to the lodge to have rest, dine and spend a night.
